Legends Rugby Festival: 13 July

Legends RugbyOn Saturday, 13 July 2013, Wimbledon RFC will host the the inaugral Legends Rugby Festival.

The Legends tournament will feature veterans teams from (amongst others): Leicester Tigers, Saracens, Harlequins, Bristol, Worcester, Gloucester, London Welsh and London Irish – and the tournament allows amateur vets teams to play alongside their heroes!

The Legends Rugby Festival wants you to pull your boots on and relive your old playing days. Just 10 minutes each way and a maximum of 5 games, it will be a day to remember for all participating teams.

The leagues available are:

The Champagne League (16 teams): for those Veterans teams who love the craic, still remember the glory days and still have that desire to be competitive.
The Beer League (16 teams): for those Veterans teams for whom taking part is enough – it’s all about the beer, fun and love of the game.

The festival will also include a performance from music legends UB40.
