SRG Beach 7s-6 June 2015

On 6 June 2015 make your way down to Peterborough Rugby Club for the inaugural SRG Beach 7s Festival to take part in or spectate some rugby sevens, mixed touch rugby and volleyball tournaments!

Festival Information

PosterPlayers and spectators can get involved with a rugby golf competition, enter some kit design competitions, take advantage of the £2.50 pints at the bar, enjoy some drinking games and eat some great food at the BBQ. And don’t forget the fancy dress – this year’s theme is Hawaiian!

Dirty House Wives DJ’s, a female DJ collective playing deep & tech house music, will be playing awesome Ibiza Summer tunes throughout the daytime and The Overdubs will be entertaining the crowds at night.

There will be fun for the whole family with a Funfair that includes Dodgems, a Treasure Island, Twister and Bungees.

Kids and adults alike can also get involved with some zorbing and enjoy some ice cream!

Following the rugby tournaments, the beach volleyball tournament will be taking place on the sand for all to watch and enjoy.

The Festival is being sponsored by The Solstice Nightclub and Tradelink Windows.

Tournament Details

The festival kicks off at 12pm and doors will close at 12am.

Sevens-£50.00 per team

 
Teams will compete in the full contact rugby sevens competition for the Elite 7’s Cup in an effort to become the SRG Beach 7’s Champion. The maximum number of players in a squad is 10 players. This is a men’s only competition.

The Cup will be broken down into two stages with teams playing a round robin competition. The top two teams from each leagues will go through to the knockout stages (Quarter Finals – Semi Finals – Finals). The bottom teams from each league will go through to the Elite Plate to the knockout stages (Quarter Finals – Semi Finals – Finals).

Mixed Touch-£50.00 per team

 
Teams will compete for the Touch 10’s Cup to become the Lawn Keeper Beach Touch 10’s Champions. The maximum number of players in a squad is 12 players. Both male and female players can take part.

The Lawn Keeper Cup will be broken down into two stages with teams playing a round robin competition. The top two teams from each of the leagues will go through to the knockout stages (Quarter Finals – Semi Finals – Finals). The bottom two teams from each league will go through to the Lawn Keeper Plate to the knockout stages (Quarter Finals – Semi Finals – Finals).

Volleyball-£20.00 per team

 
Beach7'sBBOver a dozen teams will compete in the Volleyball Championship to become the SRG Beach Volleyball Champions.

The maximum number of players in a squad is four (with three players on the sand pitch at any given time). Both female and male players can take part!

The Championship is broken down into pure knockout games… WIN your game – You’ll taste glory in the next round…. LOSE your game – And you’ll be at the bar drinking & dancing.

Camping

There are some great affordable camping options available, which allow campers to bring their own tents or hire / purchase from POD Tents. Overnight parking is free for all.
