Bournemouth 7s Festival-6 Weeks Away!

05. Animal Bike TourBournemouth 7s has just announced the line up for this year’s festival from the 24th – 26th May 2013 (the sixth edition of the world’s largest sport and music festival).

With festival favourites, the Cuban Brothers headlining on Sunday evening and over 30 bands and DJs performing across the weekend, the renowned event looks certain to be the highlight of the summer for sports fans and party goers alike!

The Bournemouth 7s Festival has 10 Festival Arenas with a massive array of entertainment, live music and spectacular shows. Top of the bill is the famous Carlsberg Beer Tent with live bands throughout the day and resident DJ, John Holman, entertaining a crowd of thousands into the evening.

New for 2013 is the Viper 10 Stage, which is hosted by the innovative party people from Cocoloco, producing an impressive arena which will bring together an unprecedented visual experience with some of the south coast’s best DJs. Also making its first appearance in 2013 is the Urban Tent hosted by Zuby. With live performers, DJs and street dance crews, this will certainly bring something new to the Bournemouth 7s experience in 2013.

The Bournemouth 7s Live Lounge will see live bands play exciting live sets from 12pm – 12am on Saturday and Sunday whilst the Vegas Karaoke Tent, hosted by Lionel Vinyl, will give festival goers the chance to take to the stage themselves! The BubbleLuv Tent and Kopparberg Kube will also offer amazing parties in the coolest arenas on the festival circuit.

Many of England’s international stars will be attending the festival in the exclusive V.VIP Celebrity Lounge. Located in a bespoke, pitch side marquee overlooking the National Invitation Cup, the V.VIP Celebrity Lounge offers a relaxed informal atmosphere with luxurious surroundings and a chance to mingle with sporting stars and celebrities all weekend. Meanwhile, just next door, the
VIP Arena offers players an exclusive area to see the action by day and party with other teams and make the most of the festival by night.

The live, onsite entertainment at the festival will keep the hustling crowds busy from 9am until 1am. Festival attractions include:

• Big screen TV showing the Aviva Premiership and UEFA Champions League Finals

The Festival

Over 20,000 people are expected to descend on Bournemouth Sports Club this Spring Bank Holiday weekend to partake in the Bournemouth 7s Festival.

b7s1With over 300 Rugby, Netball and Dodgeball teams competing in a range of competitive and social competitions, the festival is an action packed weekend of sport, music and entertainment.

The festival’s owners, Diamond Sporting Group, have created a unique event that has made a significant impact on the world rugby scene, overtaking the renowned tournaments Dubai and Hong Kong Sevens for team entries.
