SRG Beach 7s: 3-5 June 2016

On Saturday 4th June, Peterborough Rugby club will host the SRG Beach 7s Festival for the 2nd year in a row. The event, which is organised by SRG Elite Sportswear, was so successful last year that the RFU have chosen it to be one of the Qualifying rounds for the 24/sevens National Cup.

Festival Information

srgbeach7s Over 34 teams will battle it out over 4 competitions for a chance to win one of 8 cups/plates. The top team will take home the Ricky Fever Elite Cup and will go through to the next round of the 24/Sevens National Cup.

It isn’t just rugby at the event – The Festival is a family fun filled day of Music, with solo artist ROXX, and headline DJ’s – Dirty House Wives Dj Zoe Roberts & Friends.

They have over x250 campers staying for the weekend, a Zorbing Course, Rock Climbing, Ice Cream Vans, Food Stands, Business Stands, and the England Wheelchair 7’s team is bringing spare wheelchairs with them, so the general public can have a go at Wheelchair Rugby!

The big news is of course that the RFU bringing the 6 Nations & Triple Crown trophies to the event. It’s the first time both trophies have been in Peterborough, so make sure you get your photo taken with them!
