Hackney RFC seeks Senior Women's Head Coach
Hackney RFC is east London’s fastest growing rugby club with 4 men’s sides, a growing women’s side and an award winning youth division. We are an ambitious club with our men’s first and second XV squads both achieving promotion for next season as well as a top 3 finish for the third XV. The women’s and girl’s sides have also seen tremendous growth such that we aim to field a women’s second/development XV for the first time next season.
We are looking for a women’s first XV team head coach for the forthcoming season where the team will be playing in the National Challenge 2 league. The post holder will be required to hold a level two coaching award. This post would suit a person that is ambitious and capable of the development of our growing numbers.
This role involves evening training on Wednesdays and matches on Sundays, remuneration will be by negotiation and discussed at the interview stage.
Main Responsibilities will be:
•Prepare and facilitate training sessions Wednesday evenings during the season as well as twice weekly sessions for pre-season
•Select women’s first XV team in accordance with club selection policy
•Facilitate development and inclusion of players into all women’s teams (including providing player feedback)
•Assist in recruiting and developing a well organised coaching team, with clear responsibilities
•Establish a game plan document that is applicable for all teams in conjunction with all coaches and coaching team
