About the Tournament
Last year’s event was a great success and good kick start for what we hope will become an annual festival for years to come…This year’s event will take place on Saturday 30th June at East London RFC with games running from 12 noon till approximately 7pm, followed by live entertainment into the evening.
With the month of June set to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games taking place just up the road in Stratford soon after, this year’s East London 7’s tournament and festival will celebrate British sport in the heart of East London and the uptake of Rugby Sevens as an Olympic sport in Rio 2016.
The rugby tournament will be made up of 16 teams from across London and surrounding counties, plus a few barbarian and company teams. It will be a great day packed full of fast paced and exciting rugby for players and spectators alike.
Team places are limited but there are still a few spaces available. To enter a team, please contact us at the earliest opportunity.
