With Christmas in mind, I would like to share with you the image that appears whenever I open my Inbox.
I never realised how much I appreciate Fine Art, but having seen quite a number (Louis Deacon, Tom Croft, George Ford, Martin Castrogiovanni, Anthony Allen, Geordan Murphy, Steve Mafi, Tom & Ben Youngs, Manu Tuilagi, Brett Deacon & Matthew Tait), I can say Fine Art is worth appreciating!
These Tigers have not bared all just for MY appreciation. They would like YOU to appreciate Fine Art too.
All sports people and certainly all rugby players know, or should know, about Matt Hampson and his Foundation. They work hard to provide help for anybody suffering from serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for sport, sporting activity or other form of physical education or recreation. As you can imagine, this is a charity very close to my heart.
I do not believe it is who you are or what you are that defines you. It is what you do!
Ask yourself, “What have I done recently to make myself/team/colleagues proud?”
Read about Matt at http://www.matthampson.co.uk/mattstory.html and be inspired. Better still, buy the Calendar for just £14.99 (unsigned) or £75 (signed copy) here, and your money will help to inspire many others less fortunate than ourselves.
Since a scrummaging practice accident for England under 21s in 2005 left Matt a quadriplegic and paralysed from the neck down he has been ‘inspirational’. It is a word used far too often these days but I assure you, not in this case!
Buy the calendar for yourself, wife, sister and mother this Christmas; much better than another ornament for the under stairs cupboard. If there are any guys out there whose girlfriend does not understand the time you spend on your sport, buy them the calendar. I assure you, they will get it!
Just in case you need a ‘little’ bit more persuasion…
Of course, I have to look very closely, just to make sure there are no muscle deficits and everything is in working order!
