Charlotte Lloyd 10s Tournament-12 April

oxford 10s tournamentCharlie’s friends and family would like to invite you to the 1st Annual Charlotte Lloyd Memorial Rugby Tournament, which will be held at Gosford All Blacks Rugby Club on April 12th.

Charlie was a fixture in the women’s rugby world. Anyone who has ever played with or against her has a story to tell about how Charlie handed-off seven players on her way to score; how she destroyed the defensive line; how she single-handedly won the match.

She was as much a legend off the pitch as on it – always the life of every social, and always up for a good time.

We lost Charlie this year, when she succumbed to lifelong mental illness, a burden she carried silently, and of which few of us were aware.

To remember Charlie, and to raise awareness for the illnesses that affect so many, but are all too often hidden away, we are hosting a rugby tournament.

The tournament will include free entry, with various food, drink, and activities to supplement the rugby. All proceeds will go to the Charlotte Lloyd Memorial Fund and Mind Charity.

The more, the merrier – but please register for your free “ticket” here, so that we can have enough food/drink for everyone.

We hope to see you there to celebrate the life of our friend and teammate.
