FRN Announce Invitational 7s Team Coaches

FRN 1FRN is thrilled to announce our three-man coaching team for the FRN men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams for the 2014-2015 season.

Our men’s team was started in 2012 and the women’s team was founded one year later. Both compete regularly on the sevens circuit in England and abroad.

The teams have been going from strength to strength having won trophies at several tournaments last year.

With the strength of our new coaching team we are excited to see what this year will bring!

Drew Fautley

drewUSA National Men’s 7s Team, a Coach of the USA National Women’s 7s Team and a Consultant for Rugby Turkiye Olympic 7s Development.

Drew has also had a plethora of experience coaching on the rugby sevens circuit. He has served as the Director of Rugby of the UK Vipers 7s Team (GB7s Series) and Coach of the Samurai Sharks 7s, SSS Barbarians 7s and Welsh Warriors 7s Team. He is currently involved with organising the GB7s Circuit.

He has also spent time across the pond coaching and managing rugby as the Director of Rugby at NY Rugby Club.

Drew’s experience is no doubt a crucial piece of the puzzle to bring our rugby sevens teams to the next level, unite our squads, start winning tournaments and match the more elite sides.

Andy Franco

andrewSwedish National Women’s 15s and 7s Rugby teams, which he has coached to a number of winning tournaments.

His international experience is complemented by his time coaching amateur rugby during his roles as the Head Coach of the London Nigerian RFC, the University College London Women and the University of Westminster, amongst others.
He has also worked as a Coach for the Harrow School Senior Boys.

Andrew will be focusing his coaching on the women’s rugby sevens team, whom will no doubt benefit from his fantastic expertise.

Kieth Hughes

kiethKieth brings over 25 years of experience in coaching to the table during which he has coached men’s and women’s rugby sevens and fifteens sides.

Kieth currently serves as the Head Coach of the London School of Economics Women’s Rugby team.

His other experience has included working at Saracens RFC as a Hitz Project coach, coaching the London Lithuanian 7s team and Community Rugby Coach at Barking RUFC and Ilford Wanderers RFC.

She has been playing rugby union for over 10 years in the UK and the US for teams including Oxford University Blues, London Wasps, Henley, NOVA, and GWU.
